Heritage
This family was ready to build a gathering “Camp” nestled on a ridge overlooking the mountains just outside Lake Placid. After years of visiting and renting, a new house was to combine all of their fondest memories of summers spent in the Adirondacks, with the added benefits of year round living, spacious enough for multi-family gatherings and many summer guests.
A large stone fireplace built from local stone focuses the ‘timber framed’ great room and backs onto a secondary fireplace on the screen porch granting even more views to the mountains for the warmer months.
The house allows views from every side and rooms both large and small–the front entry porch, an open stairway, an office nook, bedrooms and even a bunk house
The house is covered both inside and out with exquisite natural wood siding and paneling, a visual testimony the heritage of the mountains and the craftsmen who built it.
