Finesse
This beautiful historical house, originally built in the 1920s, desperately needed to be brought into the new century and current decade without losing the charm and finesse of its original details.
A bright, glassy addition provided a solution that respects the home’s architecture and holds a new kitchen, breakfast banquette and cozy family sitting room. The structure connects to the side yard with new mudroom built-ins and an entry hall. On the upper level, the gracious master bedroom finally received the walk-in closet area it deserved and the master bath was reorganized to provide for circulation and much needed dressing areas. The existing house cellar was dug out and connected to the new lower level of the addition creating a spacious laundry, exercise area and media room.
